Whitney Welch is the owner of Branded Men’s Grooming with over six years of industry experience. She began her training at Paul Mitchell The School in St. Louis where she fell in love with both men’s haircutting and makeup artistry. She landed her first job as a makeup artist for MAC Cosmetics in 2012. After graduating, she left her hometown in pursuit of a career in Chicago. Upon arriving she quickly became a part of the unique men’s salon culture and worked for top salons where she was trained with American Crew and Kevin Murphy. Currently, Whitney focuses her energy full-time on men’s haircutting while using her makeup and hair artistry skills on weekends during wedding season.
When not in the salon, she is busy being a dog mom to two Australian Shepherds , a Chihuahua and tending to her large collection of plants. She is a born and bred Cardinals fan and although she's well aware the Cubs have won the World Series more recently, 11 is still more than 3.

After my man bun phase had passed I needed a new go-to barber/stylist for my grooming needs, but I needed someone I could trust. It had been at least 2 years since my last haircut before going in for my first cut with Whit, who was highly recommended by a coworker. It's been about 4 years since that first meeting and I can't picture seeing anyone else now! Whit's professional skills & experience extends far beyond her age. Mind you, my hair texture is pretty difficult to work with (fine & curly) but I've never left her chair feeling dissatisfied. Thanks to her I have a better understanding of what I should be doing with my hair and what products work best for me. She's also given me great advice on taking care of my skin and face! I can honestly say I've never had more self-confidence with my looks than I do now. Aside from her talent, Whit's personality is also part of what makes the whole experience awesome. It is crazy how reading Yelp reviews when shopping around for a new place to get my haircut would turn into something great. Whitney’s name kept popping up in many Yelp reviews at the salon she was at a few years ago. Every since meeting Whitney, my haircuts have never been the same. She is very accommodating at all times and understands what I expect with a haircut. I have recommended to several friends and colleagues and they all have amazing experiences with Whitney. I appreciate Whitney for everything she does and I will continue to recommend her!

Professionally, Whitney has a highly skilled technique, amazing capability of understanding clients expectancies. This combination resulted in an outstanding haircut style. Specially difficulty are added to men's long haircut, my case. Challenging, but she excelled it. True haircut at art's level, as it should be!
