About
Shirley acquired her cosmetologist license at Bellingham Beauty School. Later, she opened her own salon and joined the hair color team for Platform Artist/Educator Robbie Hardnett of Image Corp, working backstage at hair shows in Seattle, Portland, and Vancouver.
Always focusing on education, Shirley historically has pursued advanced courses in Academies such as Vidal Sassoon, Toni&Guy, and Redken Exchange NYC. In 1994 Shirley relocated to Raleigh, NC, to work at John Clay Hair Design, where she was wooed away by RB Fitch to open a new salon in Fearrington Village.
