About
Hair By Shannon Sherrell is my passion and business that I’ve been building for nearly 15 years. I started my journey as a braider back in high school, and since then, my focus has always been on promoting healthy hair care. I believe in helping my clients grow, maintain, and embrace their natural hair, no matter the style they choose. For me, it's not just about doing hair—it’s about ensuring that every person who sits in my chair feels confident and supported in their hair journey.
I graduated from Florida State University in 2015 and immediately enrolled in cosmetology school. After obtaining my cosmetology license in 2016, I have owned and operated a hair salon in Tallahassee, FL, for the past 7 years. During this time, I’ve not only served my clients but also mentored fellow stylists. Through my salon, I’ve had the privilege of helping 5 stylists open their own salons and supporting over 20 stylists in becoming independent contractors. Watching these professionals grow and succeed has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career.
I also hold a Masters degree in Business Administration, which has given me the business knowledge and skills to build and sustain a thriving salon while staying focused on my true passion—healthy hair care.
Throughout the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with amazing clients who I treat like family. I take pride in offering personalized services that cater to the unique needs of each individual, with the overall health of their hair being the top priority. It’s been incredibly rewarding to watch my clients learn how to care for their hair, grow in confidence, and fall in love with their natural beauty.
I’m excited about what’s to come in Atlanta and can’t wait to help even more clients love their hair!
