I'm Matt, better known as Tattoo Robot, a professional tattoo artist with over 20 years of experience creating custom artwork. I specialize in bold full-color tattoos that blend realism and Nu Skool styles, with a focus on large-scale pieces and cover-ups.
Throughout my career, I've earned more than 200 industry awards, including being named a two-time Niagara Tattoo Convention Artist of the Year. My education in Computer Animation and Film Production brings a strong understanding of composition, color, and visual storytelling to every tattoo I create.

I have been seeing Matt for almost 15 years now and I can't speak enough to his professionalism, integrity and customer-facing etiquette. He always has an incredibly clean atmosphere that makes you feel very safe and respected as a client. His willingness to work with you on your desired art that you want tattooed is also a major plus. He has great suggestions as an artist/creative and understands what's important to you when you are trying to determine what would be the most satisfying piece of artwork to have forever. His color tattoos are brilliant, and I receive compliments on my ink all the time. He takes time out of his day to communicate with you regarding appointments, the art you want inked and what could work best for you based on the positioning, subject matter and size of the tattoo. He is also very respectful to your subject matter, irrespective of what you find to be most important. With his relocation to Florida, I still plan to visit to get work done, because that's how good he is to his clientele!! I've seen him an average of once every 3 months or so, since the beginning of 2012 and I don't plan on letting some travel get in the way of seeing who I consider to be the most competent and caring tattoo artist I've had the pleasure of getting work from. Even the very first few pieces he created and inked for me are still vibrant and attract attention to this day. People are honestly shocked when I tell them some of this work is 14 years old, as the old work looks as good as the newer pieces. As an artist and creative he is hands down a diamond in the rough, but when combined with the fact that he is an amazing entrepreneurial business owner who understands that clients are the priority it makes it a no-brainer to continue seeing him. He is well aware that when you are "out and about" with his work on your body, that you are essentially a walking advertisement for his business, and it shows in the quality of the work. I cannot recommend him enough!!

I searched high and low for an artist that could complete a colorful sleeve for me with so much meaning behind it. I can honestly say that Matt created something that was more than I could have ever imagined. His color work is phenomenal!! His creativity is next level! His attention to detail is outstanding… I could go on and on. I trust Matt so much that I even brought my daughter to him for her artwork and she was thrilled with the outcome. The best part of Matt is not only his talent but his personality. I will follow him to Florida in a heartbeat to have any of my future work done!

Moving to NC from NY was one of the hardest things to do, and not because of leaving my friends and family, or never getting a real autumn or winter, like you’d think. Nope— it was being 10+ hours away from the only person on this entire planet I’ll let tattoo me! You’d be amazed at how many people down here compliment his artwork on my body and ask who did it… and then get sad that he’s nowhere nearby. The truth is, I would happily continue to travel up north to be able to get more of his beautiful artwork on me, but I am MORE than happy to travel to sunny, warm Florida for it. I’ve been getting tattooed by Matt for over 10 years, have multiple large (award winning) pieces plus an entire Marvel sleeve by him, and I still love every single tattoo by him as much as the day I got it. It’s an amazing feeling to still be so in awe and so proud of what’s created on my body, years later. Also, don’t tell him I told you this, but the appointments are always a blast because he keeps me laughing the entire time. You’d think you’d be angry at the person stabbing needles into you over and over again, but the truth is, I’m already booking my next appointment before the tattoo’s even done. 10/10 artist. 10/10 human being. 100% certainty you should trust him with all your tattoo needs.

I have been going to Matt for over 12 years for my tattoo work. Matt's professionalism, attention to detail and cleanliness puts him in a league all of their own. Matt has vision like no other and his ability to make color pop is unmatched. Matt's cover up work is also like no other. He can make all of those 18 year old bad ideas a lost forgotten bad memory like he did for both me and my husband. I also personally am a huge fan of his donutimals- i have 18 and counting!!
