About Me:
My name is Kristi and I'm the sole owner of Black Velvet Salon, LLC.
With 12 years of experience in the hair industry, I specialize in balayage, low-maintenance color, and I love both natural colors and fashion colors/vivids. I also enjoy doing cuts and styles of all lengths.
I believe in exceptional customer service, building trusting relationships, and educating my clients to ensure the integrity and longevity of their hair. I enjoy making people feel confident and rejuvenated by giving them a modern, fresh hairstyle.
I was born and raised in Northern Virginia, graduated from Paul Mitchell The School in Tysons Corner, and I've attended the Wella studio in LA for additional training. I like to travel, hike, kayak, go to concerts, read, and watch terrible reality shows. I also enjoy spending my free time learning the latest techniques and investing in classes to continue my education.

My hair looked shiny, beautiful, and was styled exactly how I wanted. I also took home some Olaplex products, which I loved. Last, but not least, her salon decor is absolutely the coolest! I don't get my hair done as often as I'd like, but I'd definitely visit her again.
