About
Hello and thank you for stopping by! I have been in the hair industry since I was fourteen! Some would say its in my blood because my grandmother was a hair stylist, and I grew up being in her little salon separating perm rods and sitting under her coned shaped dryer. I started working at a salon as a shampoo girl in my home town as a freshman in high school. When I was nineteen I attended the Aveda Cosmetology School in Denver Co. From there I moved back to Illinois and did my apprenticeship at one of the top salons in Chicago. While at that location I was able to work on fashion shows, take amazing classes learning more about hair, and flown to Hawaii, San Francisco, and Atlanta to do my clients wedding hair.
Recently I worked at one of the top salons in Sarasota Florida. And now at Salon Lofts in Highland Park Illinois. My love of color and design helps me create looks from short feminine, to sculptured bobs, and blended long layered shapes. My favorite colors to create on clients are beautiful buttery blondes, fiery reds, and rich chocolate brunettes. With that being said the best part about my job has been meeting so many great people through the years.

Jody is amazing with hair! I had the same stylist for 30 years. When she retired, I was really struggling to find talent again.. Lucky for me I found Jody. I was so afraid that my hair would never look great again but Jody was able to gain my confidence immediately. She took time to listen and eased me into the transition. I couldn’t believe how great my hair looked when she finished. Perfect! Now it was gaining a relationship that was going to be important. After all, who wants to sit in a chair for three hours with someone who doesn’t care about you? Jody is able to make your time in the chair breeze by. After a few appointments, she feels like an old friend you can talk to effortlessly. Jody has true artistic talent. It will be evident to you after a few times. Once you trust her, give her some room to tweak. She won’t go crazy but she will use her expertise. I am very sad to have her move from Florida but Chicago you just got back a winner. I recently went to my new stylist. She was so impressed with Jody’s work. She kept commenting on my hair’s health.and she just couldn’t get over how well the new growth blended with the old highlights. The good news for me is that my new stylist took a huge amount of time trying to replicate Jody’s work. She knew it would be important if she wanted to keep me as a client. I highly recommend giving Jody a try. She is very professional and expects that from you too. Once her client base is established, you will need to be booking ahead to make sure your hair keeps a good schedule!!
