I don’t know about you, but I’m an anxious one when it comes to putting chemicals on my hair. After some health issues that affected my hair, I absolutely babied it. So when I decided to dye my light strawberry-blonde hair red, needless to say, I was terrified. I initially had it dyed by someone else; the first time went great and I fell in love with the color, but the second time left me a carrot-top. So, after reading reviews, I booked an appointment with Jerra. Jerra not only was able to bring me back to that fiery yet rich red I loved, but also was able to explain to me the mistakes the last stylist made just by looking at my natural color. Jerra is extremely knowledgeable about what she does and graciously explains to me all the chemistry of what she’s doing in a way that I can understand. She always listens to my concerns and gives me advice on routes to take that not only are best for my hair health but also my wallet. She knows what she’s talking about, doesn’t gatekeep any information, and intuitively knows what is best for every hair type that wanders into her chair. She is honest about what will and won’t work regardless of money because she knows that the client relationship is what’s most important for her business. Jerra’s been keeping me looking like a natural redhead for 6 months now and I can safely say as long as I’m living in Chapel Hill I will be returning to Jerra. She loves what she does and does it well. I always leave my appointments feeling refreshed and more confident!
