I have been doing hair since my first week of cosmetology school back in 1986. Since then I have been hooked on this industry. Helping People look their best is very rewarding: If you look good, you feel good! After I graduated from cosmetology school with honors, I continued training by taking classes and working as a stylist assistant. My mentor was Sassoon trained, and my experience and skill grew under their guidance. I have participated in numerous training seminars, classes and shows from some big names within the industry. I have served as an in-salon educator and class instructor, leading workshops and one-on-one training to beginning stylists among many other rolls. I assisted in many training videos, and have done hair for photo shoots, and shows. During one hair show, I was even awarded excellence in "Way Out" styling, which was very fun! My biggest and most exciting leap was to be a Self Employed/Independent Contractor/Manager (Now Salon/Suite Loft Owner) operating my own business Hair Design By Tom, LLC.
