Erin Nelson

My name is Erin Michele Nelson, and yes, my middle name only has one L…who needs two, right? My hair journey began in 2011, when I made my way to the Windy City to further my education in cosmetology, after realizing four years of studying business (and partying) wasn’t enough.

 For 7+ years I have been evolving my skills through continuous education and practice in the salon.  I am passionate about providing my guests with innovative, trend-focused styles with a classic touch and a though consult.

 Have a wedding or photo shoot coming up?  I am a professional wedding crash..errrr… I mean, I am your go-to professional for bridal and creative styles.  Though if you ask around, I have been known to throw down a good rap at weddings.  When I’m not crashing weddings or creating beautiful hair, you can find me drinking wine, boating, or dining at some of the best restaurants in Chicago.

 2019 marks my biggest venture yet, as I transition from stylist to salon owner. In collaboration with my long-time mentor and business partner, Laura Kelley-Hayes, we hope to welcome new and familiar faces for an experience at Loft Twelve, unlike any other.
