Hi, I’m Candice Holtzclaw, or ‘Candi’ as my friends call me. I work in Room 17.
I love to laugh, and joke and really try to understand my client's hair and shaving needs. Communication is a high priority when you come to visit. I take it seriously, and I really look forward to connecting with you.
I’m originally from North West Georgia. Raised in a little town called Rome. As a young girl, I always loved playing with hair. Barbering has been my vocation since 1994 and I’ve been in the central Florida area since early 2000. My career began in Northern Virginia, and I’ve also worked in shops in Maryland, and Washington D. C. I have offered services for weddings at local Dubsdread Golf and Taproom in the mid-2000s, and worked independently for the majority of the time. One of my most prized adventures was working for Kennedy’s Barber Club in Heathrow, Florida for 7 years.
The majority of my work involves clipper and precision shear work. I began my journey at a time when using shears was the primary method for a man’s short haircut. Years ago, barbers learned the majority of their cutting and blending skills with shears, not clippers. I believe this is a lost art and I focus heavily on shear work. However, I do the traditional popular close skin fades while incorporating the shears for blending and removing shadows. Longer hair on men isn’t just timeless, it’s stylish and requires someone who holds experience with shears, and I have that. I owe many thanks to the ones who taught me years ago.
As well as haircuts, I take great care in giving an amazing hot towel shave. The shave is performed in a real barber chair that reclines. I use both a straight razor and a regular disposable razor to get an exceptionally smooth, close shave. I use hot towels and a steamer with a warm lather that will make practical maintenance, a very relaxing experience! Also, I add a nice facial massage as a finishing touch. I always say after describing the steps of a shave, ‘The nap is free!’ Haha!
Everyone deserves a little downtime in our fast-paced world. So, this would make a great gift for your Father, Brother, Son, Uncle, Nephew, or boyfriend during the holidays or anytime!
On another note, I’ve worked in a culturally diverse community and take great pride in the large family of great barbers and hairstylists that I know, love, and have spent time with over the years. We have learned and relied upon each other and still do.
Aside from cutting hair, I love my family, drawing, writing, blogging, watercolors, oil painting, cooking, walking, spending time at the beach, and playing with our 4 dogs. My most recent excitement is my two new beautiful Grand Daughters that were born in May. I am so blessed to have them in my life. So expect to hear a lot about these beauties!
I look forward to meeting you, getting to know you, and taking care of all your hair care needs.
Be Blessed,
Candice Holtzclaw

Candice has been my barber for a few years now. She’s remarkably consistent, very skilled and understands how to achieve the look I want with the mess of hair I have. I don’t have to tell her what I want any longer and know I’ll get the right cut every time. She’s also very quick so I can get in and out when needed. I highly recommend Candice.
Candi is the best barber in Orlando, hands down! If you are looking for a barber that pays attention to detail and delivers outstanding results, Candi is it! I'm so glad I was referred to Candi! Not only is she my barber for life but also a friend. Highly recommend.
I’ve been going to see Candi for about 15 years. Great service and great conversation. I’d highly recommend her for all of your barbering needs!
