8 WAYS MOMS CAN CELEBRATE MOTHER'S DAY

We love Mother’s Day because it is a time to celebrate the special women in our lives, but it’s also a great time to celebrate being a mom yourself. Whether you are celebrating your first Mother’s Day or your 30th, we have some ideas on how you can get the most out of your day.

 

1. TAKE A TIME OUT

A great way to celebrate you is to set aside one hour to do something just for you. Sleep in, go on a solo jog, read a book, take a hot bath, binge on some TV, or do absolutely nothing and relax.

 

2. PAMPER YOURSELF

It’s your day, so make sure you feel and look great. Allow some time to do your hair and put on your favorite lipstick - see #6 on our list!

 

3. CELEBRATE OTHER MOMS IN YOUR LIFE

As you already know, it takes a village to raise kids so be sure to send a special thanks to the women you have learned from and who have helped you stay sane. A simple text or a call out on social media will make them feel extra special.

 

4. LET YOUR FAMILY SPOIL YOU THEIR WAY

Don’t do the planning – sit back and relax! You may not get a day at the spa or 5-course gourmet meal but having a picnic in the park or a backyard barbeque can be just as fun and memorable.

 

5. ONE ON ONE TIME

Celebrate the ones who made you a mom with a little one on one time. Get outside and take a walk or play a game together. Not only will you enjoy it but it will make their day, too.

 

6. TAKE A MOTHER’S DAY SELFIE

Trust us on this one! Be sure to capture the day with a picture. You will appreciate having these photos as your kids get older.

 

7. GIFT TO YOURSELF

Buy yourself a gift. After all, you deserve it. It doesn’t have to be expensive – it could be a new pair of PJs, flowers to plant in your garden, or an impulse Amazon buy.

 

8. HAVE FUN

We can’t always make it a priority to have fun but Mother’s Day is a good day to do just that. Put your worries and stress aside and set the mood for the day – have fun and enjoy!
