That’s been Lonnie’s byword — whether related to his Indiana roots where carefree country kids ride tractors or his Chicago life where busy clients stand out with coiffs he meticulously stylizes for big city boulevards, ballrooms, boardrooms and beyond.  He follows this philosophy with every client as he stands behind the chair listening, ready to breathe life into your hair fantasy and make it your reality.  

Lonnie has enjoyed being a part of the Beauty Industry in some form or facet for 20+ years. From singing & dancing, makeup & skincare to Bangd by Lonnie located within the Glass Castle!  Here, he brings together all of his life experience and skill to deliver the most memorable experience for clients.  Lonnie believes knowledge and learning are the keys to unlocking beauty secrets and the best of services. So he educates his clients on the why, the how and also the “how to.”  He holds space for each client - to listen, share his insights and relate his life experiences to theirs. Lonnie’s desire is to support each client to feel confident and comfortable in living their truth with in-salon services and at-home styling and hair that reflects that just out of the salon, lived in look.  He loves to help clients express their inner beauty through their hair — after all it is our ultimate accessory and the only one we have with us at all times!  If you ask where his passion for hair comes from, that’s a secret he saves for when you are in his chair. 

At the age of 17, Lonnie truly became a “Student of life,” and has enjoyed many courses over the years but at this stage of life he is truly ready to expand his brand & community wings and soar.  He believes clients are more than just clients. So when you sit in his chair, you are Family!  This has helped him to never feel like he’s at work but simply helping a loved one get closer to a goal, something he has always enjoyed.  In his spare time Lonnie loves cycling,  being active & performing within the LGBGTQ+ community, learning more on self care, caring for the jungle that is his home of plants, pets and people; and saving the best for last — spending time with his husband, Frankie and their meshed family of fur babies.

From a simple trim to a  complete overhaul, a beauty blowout, a quiet hour or simply some lifestyle advice, it’s Lonnie; when you are in his chair you are safe, and the time is yours!  Providing a completely personalized experience; he listens while being a solution finder,  he is honest about expectations as well as the process, and he is truly one of a Kind, just like You!
