Welcome, my name is Ashley and I am the owner of Lahley Studio in Columbia, MD. I’m a blonding, balayage and extension specialist. I love the beauty industry and I’ve been apart if it for 17 years.
My journey started in 2005 when I left college to follow my dreams of becoming a hairstylist, I attended The Temple: A Paul Mitchell Partner School in Frederick, Maryland. As the years went on I discovered how much I loved color, then I discovered how much I loved balayage and blonding. I fell more in love with this industry and how I made my clients feel. I continue my education as much as possible, I love learning new ways to give you the blonde or balayage of your dreams.
I have worked with color and product lines such as Redken, Kevin Murphy, Subtele, Pureology, Pulp Riot, Babe Hair Extensions and a few others. I am now a Brand Educator for Kenra Professional. It brings me so much joy to give you your dream hair and seeing your face when I turn the chair around. I truly love being able to make you feel and look beautiful.
Here at Lahley Studio, I aim to give you the best experience and service possible while educating you on the best products for your hair. I want you to feel taken care of while in my chair by providing the best service to give and maintain your hair. I look forward to seeing all of you and giving you the best experience possible.

Thank you for taking the time to review these instructions; doing so allows me to give you the absolute best service, and keep our appointment running according to schedule. I always will do my absolute best to run on-time, and adhering to these policies is an integral part of the salon’s schedule running smoothly.
Color Services:
For best results, please adhere to the following instructions:
• Have your hair product free and washed within 24 hours
• For best grey coverage, please shampoo with a clarifier such as Kenra Deep Cleanse
• Please make sure that your hair is reasonably free of tangles and is unmatted, matted hair may be subjected to an additional de-matting fee of $____
Global Blonding:
• Do NOT Shampoo hair for at least 24 hours before service to prevent scalp irritation
• Please make sure that your hair is reasonably free of tangles and is unmatted, matted hair may be subjected to an additional de-matting fee of $____
Dressing for Your Color Appointment:
• Please wear an older shirt with no collar, or bring one to change into. While color getting onto clothes is not common, this is best to prevent chemicals and dyes from staining nicer shirts.
• Smocks and capes will be provided to cover clothing
• Lahley Studio does not hold responsibility for any clothing during service
Textured Hair Services:
• All cuts will be performed dry, followed by a wash and style
• Hair should be worn down and in your usual style, ideally washed within 24 hours of service
• Please do NOT wear your hair in a bun or ponytail, this changes your natural curl pattern and disrupts my ability to perform a perfect cut.
• If you are unable to come with your hair clean and styled as you normally would, a pre-cut wash and style can be performed for an additional $67.
• A pre-cut wash and style must be schedules at the time of booking, or your appointment may need to be rescheduled
Color and Cut Adjustments:
• All color services are only guaranteed when using a professional home care regime
• If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your cut or color, please reach out to discuss the prospect of a complementary adjustment within 7 days of the service by email.
• Include specifics about concerns and issues, and supply photos taken in a clear, well-lit area
• Please note: grey coverage clients may see some regrowth in as little as 1-2 weeks, as hair grows an average of 1/2” a month
Pricing:
• All listed prices are starting prices, and may be more than listed if hair is very thick, long, or requires extra product.
Gratuities:
• While gratuities are appreciated, they are not accepted at my studio. All services and prices are structured in such a way that monetary gratuities are not necessary.
Guests:
• Please do not bring additional guests to any appointment
• If an additional guest is brought, they will be asked to wait outside the building due to the studio’s size and space restrictions.
Late Arrival and No-Show Policy:
Any arrival more than 10 minutes after scheduled appointment time will be considered a no-show, and services may be denied.If a partial service is possible and agreed upon, you will still be charged for the full scheduled appointment. If the appointment must be rescheduled, the 50% deposit will be kept as a lost revenue fee. Accommodating late arrivals may impact the appointments of other guest throughout the day, and thus providing services cannot be guaranteed.
Any no-show will result in the holding of the 50% deposit as a loss of revenue fee.
Cancellation Policy and Acknowledgement:
By booking an appointment, I understand that if I don't adhere to the forementioned policies that Lahley Studio may not be able to complete my schedules services, and this may result in a cancelation of my appointment. The 50% deposit will be held as a lost revenue fee.
A 48 hours notice is required when cancelling to avoid any fees.
