About
Hey! I’m Allison, and I’m a stylist, educator, and artist working in Clayton, MO. I’m passionate about creating cohesive works of art that emphasize the best and most stunning aspects of each of my clients, while also tailoring services to meet their lifestyle needs.
I took a roundabout journey to the hair industry, attending art school as an undergrad. The collegiate life didn’t temper my desire to pursue hair and people as my creative medium, so after college I attended beauty school in Chicago.
My post beauty school apprenticeship took place at a bustling Chicago area salon, where I had the opportunity to learn from a Rusk creative team member. Following my apprenticeship I began working both behind the chair, and as a Rusk design team member, traveling around the country and showcasing trends at industry shows and training other hairstylists. Doing this I obtained an education in the industry, the technicalities of cutting, and the chemistry of hair color that cannot be bought.
I worked as an educator for around ten years, before deciding it was time to turn my focus and attention fully to my business and clients in Clayton. I still attend technique classes so that I can continue to educate my clients on trends and current styles, and stay relevant in a constantly morphing industry.
Lately I’ve been enjoying the hand painted looks and lived in hair that has come to the forefront of style. I specialize in balayage techniques and creative painting and foiling to create both high-contrast instagram looks and soft blending for lived in color so natural no one would know you paid for it.
I also offer a range of luxury extension options to help you achieve the hair you’ve always wanted, including hand and machine sewn wefts, tape-ins, and keratin fusion (k-tips).

I started seeing Allison 2 years ago when I had a pixie that was in desperate need of some help (great attempt for a stylist who wasn't big into short haircuts). Allison was able to salvage my semi mullet into a bangin' pixie that has made me a short hair girl for life (or for awhile knowing me). What I love most about her is she's going to tell you like it is. Allison is great at giving people what they want in a cut and color, but you have to be willing to hear that you can't necessarily have what you want due to your own hair thickness and texture. Trust me, she's talked me back into a more reasonable cut shape and color change from the spiky platinum pixie I coveted a la Pink. I love her to pieces and have followed her from her previous salon to her own place here at Salon Lofts and I couldnt be happier for her. She's a rockstar and you need her in your life!!!
